Dylan's Idol

Dylan got to meet his idol today, and I couldn't be prouder as a parent of how mature he was.
Background - Last summer, we donated to the Apex Movement summer tour, which came with donation perks of a tour t-shirt, pictures, a dvd, and a free 1 hr private training session with the tour member of our choice.  After 6 months, we finally heard from the owner of Apex to say that they are sending the items out and he wanted to find out who we wanted for the lesson.  Of course Dylan chose his idol, Dylan Baker.  When we started watching Jump City Seattle 2 years ago, he immediately took a liking to Dylan on team Rogue.  Rogue was the young team in the competition, so he felt a little more connected to them.  When our Dylan's school had it's "spirit week" 2 yrs ago, he decided to go as Dylan Baker for the "celebrity day".  It was super cute!!!!

So, we made plans to meet Dylan Baker for a private lesson at an elementary school near Cherry Creek.  He was super cool with Dylan, really patient, and Dylan seemed to really listen to him during the lesson.  I have never seen him smile so big!!!!  I loved it, James loved it, Dylan loved it.  Afterwards, Dylan said that it was the best hour of his life.  He improved so much in that hour and had amazing confidence after it was over.  We really hope that we can do more private lessons with him in the future.
